Sport Arabia invites schools to the 2014 renewal of the U15/16 School ARCH Cup, an event designed so that smaller senior schools can bring their U16's to play against the U15's from some of the bigger senior schools. This is a 40 over pre-season cricket tournament approved by the MCC as a Spirit of Cricket event. In previous years we have run successful tournaments for schools such as Abingdon, Dubai College, St Kentigern (New Zealand) St George’s, Uppingham and Winchester. 

This event came about thanks to Michael Edwards, from Shiplake College, who cam to watch the 2010 School ARCH Trophy and asked if we could organise a tournament for smaller schools such as SHMIS members as the UAE offers superb cricket facilities, sunshine and high quality accommodation.

We are offering this 40 over Cup competition in March 2014 for U15/16 teams. We are encouraging schools to bring a squad of players from Years 9 to 11 to develop future 1st Xl players. A sample suggested itinerary is attached.

Estimated price for a squad of 15 boys and 2 masters (travelling free of charge) is £1295 per person.

This includes:
Return flight to the UAE from the UK
UAE Airport transfers
Bus transport to practice and matches.
Hotel accommodation in Dubai on a twin sharing basis
Full Buffet breakfast on each day.
Food and water at games
Ground hire for 4 matches – at least one day night game – all games on grass wickets.
